What to Expect from a Consultation

If your dog/cat’s behaviour is giving you cause for concern, you don’t have to live with the problem, as an Accredited Pet Behaviour Counsellor I can help improve your pet's behaviour.

You can make an appointment for me to visit you and your pet usually in your own home, at a mutually convenient time.

I send out a comprehensive  questionnaire in advance of the pre- arranged appointment.Consultations normally last between 1&1/2  -2hrs during which time the problem behaviour will be discussed in detail looking at when it happens, why it is happening and what can be done to improve the behaviour.

I send a comprehensive report to you, usually within a week of the home visit, reiterating everything that has been discussed during the consultation, including appropriate recommendations for behaviour modification. A copy of the report will be sent to your vet if so desired.

Support by either phone or E mail is provided for three months following the consultation, at no further cost.

Follow up visits can be arranged if necessary.

Some insurance companies will cover behaviour consultations provided the behaviourist is a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist (which I am), so it is worth checking with your insurance company prior to the consultation.
